The Consumer Electronics Show has just wrapped up for another year, and it was really cool to see Fingertapps Instrument app in action on Intel’s stand.

The 2012 International CES was the largest in the event’s 44 year history, with a record number of more than 3,100 exhibitors across the largest show floor in CES history (1.861 million square feet of exhibit space), drawing a record of over 153,000 attendees.

Here are some pics we took of Intel showing the innovations appearing in touch PCs. ASUS just released this new AIO PC which supports ten touch points. To demonstrate this feature in action, Fingertapps Instruments application was showcased. With four instruments in the suite (piano, guitar, drums and looper), this app is for everyone in the home – from beginner to expert musician – to learn, play along, perform and share the music they create, on their touch devices.

Along with our Instruments app, all Fingertapps applications support up to ten simultaneous touches so we were particularly excited to see this new ASUS AIO touch device on show at CES.

The team was in Taiwan again this week at AMD’s Technical Forum and Exhibition (TFE) speaking as part of the event and having our apps shown off by AMD and ourselves. TFE is an annual industry forum put on by AMD that brings together leaders in the technology industry of Taiwan to discuss the latest technical trends and innovations. One of the hot topics this year was how technologies such as DirectX 11 can help deliver a superior user experience for customers.

Our Fingtertapps apps were once again front and center as a key example of how to leverage DirectX 11 and our Jelly Jigsaw app is shown in the photo above being run on a yet to be released Windows 8 tablet (!).

You can check out Jelly Jigsaw and our other newly released Fingertapps apps, many of which are already optimized to use the new DirectX 11 features that AMD’s Fusion APUs enable and which will be standard on many Windows 8 devices next year.
